The ADVICO team invited the Bergrivier study group to our Paarl demonstration blocks during the recent field session, where clear differences were observed across the clone and cultivar trials. At Eenzaamheid, Chenin Blanc and other new white cultivars under dryland management showed distinct growth patterns, with a follow-up visit recommended for summer to assess vine performance under peak dryland stress. At Otterkuil, the rootstock demo highlighted vigorous growth in Ramsey and Ramper, along with promising results from R110. These demonstration blocks provide valuable insights into rootstock selection for dryland conditions and help identify new white cultivars suited to thrive in such challenging environments.

The Breedekloof study group visited ADVICO demo sites at Opstal, Welgelee, and Goudini Cellar. At Opstal, producers noted the Chenin Blanc clone selection provided valuable insight into high-quality, high-production options. Welgelee highlighted growth differences among rootstocks, while Goudini showcased new red and white cultivars for potential future production. Feedback also covered pruning, trellis systems, regenerative farming, young vine management, and new vineyard technologies.
